Further development of TILT

Funding from an US university has been secured to complete the TILT tool to a finished state. In the next few months I will be completing the editing GUI and also add a viewing tool for pages recognised using the TILT tool. This will allow texts to be scrolled in sync with the source images, linked at the word-level. This should allow very smooth scrolling. I will also be writing up a publication for a HCI-type journal to explain the design in preparation for user-testing.

Hi, I found quite a lot of posts and comments on TILT on the web, but no demo or download for testing. How can I try out TILTs functionality?

Desmond Schmidt has degrees in classical Greek papyrology from the University of Cambridge, UK, and in Information Technology from the University of Queensland, Australia. He has worked in the software industry, in information security, on the Vienna Edition of Ludwig Wittgenstein, on Leximancer, a concept-mining tool, and on the AustESE (Australian electronic scholarly editing) project at the University of Queensland.
